Frequently Asked Questions
How do we book you for our wedding/portrait session/event?
Simply fill in the form above with as many details about the booking as possible, I’ll get back to you within 24 hours and we take it from there. If you prefer you can email me at email@example.com.
How do we pay for our booking?
Payment of a £50 deposit secures the date for you, with the balance due no later than 28 days before the shoot. Payment via bank transfer or PayPal is preferred - you can use PayPal even if you don’t have an account and all major credit/debit cards are accepted. If you’re local to me I also accept cash.
How many photos will you deliver to me and how and when will I get them?
The number of photos delivered varies - for portrait sessions I guarantee 10 images from a mini-session and 20 from a full session. Cliched as it may sound, for weddings I think in terms of quality and not quantity. I could easily turn up at a wedding and shoot 1,000+ photos without too much care and attention. I prefer to focus on capturing decisive moments. As a guide I generally deliver no less than 50 images for every hour I’m with you, and I often exceed that estimate. For portrait shoots I deliver images via a download link and for weddings and events I deliver the images on a USB stick, and the delivery time is up to 90 days.
Will I own the delivered images?
Yes and no. While I retain the copyright in all of my photographs, all images from your shoot are delivered in full-res with a lifelong “print & share” license, meaning that you’re free to create your own prints, canvases, albums etc, and you can share images with family and friends via email and/or social media. Although I retain ownership of all copyrights (which you’ll find is standard practice among 99% of commercial photographers) your agreement with me states that I cannot profit directly from any of images without your consent.
How soon will you deliver my photographs?
For portrait sessions I deliver within 2 weeks, for weddings and events I deliver within 60 days.
Do you have your own public liability insurance?
Yes I do - if your wedding is at a venue which requires photographers to have their own insurance just let me know and I can provide you with a copy of the relevant documentation to forward on to your venue contact.
